Vasilis Soulis was born in Athens in 1981 and studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts with professors Zacharias Arvanitis and Rena Papaspyrou. He was selected for a scholarship in 2005-2006 and in 2007 obtained an "excellent" diploma from the Z' painting workshop with Professor Yannis Psychopedis. He lives and works in Athens.

He held his first solo exhibition in Athens at the "expression" - Yanna Grammatopoulou art gallery in 2009 and has taken part in numerous major group exhibitions in many cities in Greece and abroad. He has also designed sets for theatrical performances.

His works can be found in numerous private collections in Greece and abroad, as well as in museums in Athens (Frissiras Museum - Voyatzoglou Gallery, Luciano Benetton Collection).

Alongside his artistic activity, he has been working as a teacher since 2002, giving painting and drawing lessons.
